Invitation Letter Support
Upon completing your registration for the 24th International Conference on African Economics and Development, you may formally request an official invitation letter from the conference secretariat. This letter is issued on conference letterhead and confirms your accepted role — whether as a presenter, attendee, or session chair — along with key event details such as dates, location in Ajax, Canada, and the nature of the academic proceedings.
The invitation letter is designed to support your travel preparation, including applications for study leave, institutional travel grants, or sponsorship from funding bodies. The secretariat processes letter requests in a timely manner, and requests are typically fulfilled within five business days of a verified registration. Authors with accepted abstracts or papers are encouraged to request the letter promptly to allow sufficient time for administrative preparations.
Please note that while the conference invitation letter provides supporting documentation for your travel arrangements, it does not in any way guarantee the issuance of a visa or entry permit to Canada. Visa approval is solely at the discretion of the relevant immigration authorities, and applicants are strongly advised to begin their visa application process well in advance of the conference dates through the appropriate official channels.

The 24th edition invites submission of original research papers, empirical case studies, and theoretical contributions that push the boundaries of knowledge on African economics and development. We encourage submissions that center African data, perspectives, and methodologies, and welcome comparative studies that situate continental dynamics within the broader global economy.
Accepted work will be published in the official conference proceedings and presented during the event in Ajax, Canada.

Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be written in English.
- Submissions must be original and relevant to the conference theme.
- Abstracts should clearly describe the purpose, method, findings and relevance of the work.
- Full papers should normally be between 4 and 12 pages.
- Authors must complete registration after acceptance to confirm participation.
Peer Review Details
All manuscripts and extended abstracts submitted to the 24th International Conference on African Economics and Development undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, evaluated by at least two subject-matter experts drawn from the conference’s international scientific committee.
