Invitation Letter Support
Upon successful registration, the 23rd International Conference on African Economics and Development is pleased to provide official invitation letters to confirmed attendees who require documentation for institutional approval, travel authorization, or funding applications. These letters are issued directly by the conference secretariat and include your name, affiliation, presentation details where applicable, and the official conference dates and venue in Mississauga, Canada.
To request an invitation letter, attendees must first complete their registration and payment in full. Requests are typically processed within three to five business days of confirmed registration, and the letter will be dispatched electronically to the email address provided during sign-up. Presenters whose abstracts have been accepted are encouraged to include their acceptance notification alongside the invitation letter when submitting supporting documents to their institutions or sponsors.
Please be aware that while the conference secretariat is committed to issuing prompt and accurate invitation letters, the provision of this document does not guarantee the granting of a visa or travel authorization by any government authority. Visa decisions rest solely with the relevant embassy or consulate, and applicants are strongly advised to initiate their visa applications well in advance of the conference dates to allow sufficient processing time.

Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be written in English.
- Submissions must be original and relevant to the conference theme.
- Abstracts should clearly describe the purpose, method, findings and relevance of the work.
- Full papers should normally be between 4 and 12 pages.
- Authors must complete registration after acceptance to confirm participation.
Peer Review Details
All manuscripts and extended abstracts submitted to the conference undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review, with each submission assessed independently by at least two specialists in African economics or the relevant subfield. The scientific committee prioritizes methodological soundness, originality of contribution, and direct relevance to the conference’s thematic scope when making acceptance determinations.

Best Paper Award
The Best Paper Award will be announced at the conference closing session. The winner will be rewarded with:
- The recipient of the Best Paper Award will receive a formally engraved certificate of excellence co-signed by the conference chairs, along with complimentary full registration to the 24th edition of the conference as recognition of their outstanding scholarly contribution.
