Registered participants of the 18th International Conference on African Economics and Development may request an official invitation letter to support their travel arrangements and visa applications. These letters are issued by the conference secretariat following full payment of registration fees and confirmation of accepted abstract or attendance status, and they detail the conference dates, venue location in Brampton, Canada, and the applicant’s role as a presenter or delegate.
To obtain an invitation letter, attendees should submit a formal request through the conference portal, providing accurate personal details including full legal name, institutional affiliation, and passport information where applicable. The secretariat endeavors to dispatch letters promptly to minimize disruption to participants’ travel planning, recognizing that many international attendees require adequate lead time to complete visa and administrative processes.
Please be advised that the issuance of an official invitation letter by the conference organizing committee does not in any way guarantee the approval of a visa or entry permit by Canadian immigration authorities. Visa decisions rest solely with the Government of Canada and its designated immigration offices, and applicants are responsible for initiating their applications early and complying fully with all relevant consular requirements.

Call for Papers – 18th International Conference on African Economics and Development
The 18th edition invites original research contributions that advance scholarly understanding of economic development across all regions of the African continent. Submissions are encouraged from diverse disciplinary perspectives, provided they offer rigorous empirical or theoretical insights directly relevant to Africa’s development challenges and opportunities.
Accepted work will be published in the official conference proceedings and presented during the event in Brampton, Canada.

- Full papers should normally be between 4 and 12 pages.
- Authors must complete registration after acceptance to confirm participation.

All manuscript submissions to the 18th International Conference on African Economics and Development undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, with each paper evaluated by a minimum of two subject-matter experts drawn from the conference’s international scientific committee.
