- Early Bird Author Registration – US$499 For authors keen on availing a $100 discount on the regular registration fee, early bird registration is recommended.
- Regular Author Registration – US$599 If the early bird deadline has been missed, authors can opt for the regular registration process.
- Listener Registration – US$499 Individuals interested in attending the conference to expand their knowledge and network can register as listeners.

Invitation Letter Support
Upon successful registration, participants of the 16th International Conference on African Culture and Sociology may request an official invitation letter to support their travel arrangements, visa applications, or institutional funding requests. This letter is issued by the conference organizing committee and confirms your accepted status as a registered delegate, presenter, or attendee.
To receive your invitation letter, please ensure your registration and any applicable fees are fully completed before submitting your request through the designated portal. The letter will include your full name, affiliation, conference dates, and the Pickering venue details, covering the key information typically required by embassies, universities, and grant bodies reviewing your participation.
Please note that while the organizing committee is pleased to provide this official documentation to support your visa application process, issuing an invitation letter does not in any way guarantee visa approval. All visa decisions rest solely with the relevant immigration authorities of Canada, and applicants are strongly advised to apply well in advance and meet all host country entry requirements independently.
Before You Register
- Registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person. If your visa is refused, you get 50% off one new registration for a later edition in your name.
- Your invitation letter is emailed within 3 to 5 business days after your payment is verified.
- You arrange your own visa, travel and accommodation.
Call for Papers – 16th International Conference on African Culture and Sociology
Scholars and researchers are invited to submit original contributions that interrogate, celebrate, and critically engage with the multidimensional realities of African culture and sociology. The 16th edition particularly welcomes work that challenges conventional frameworks and introduces fresh theoretical or empirical perspectives grounded in African contexts.
Accepted work may be considered for the conference proceedings where applicable and is presented during the event in Pickering, Canada.

Paper and Abstract Submission
Authors are invited to submit abstracts, research papers, case studies, review papers or professional practice presentations.
All submissions are reviewed before acceptance. Submitted work should be original and not previously published.
For the 16th edition, papers can cover any of the conference tracks, for example Ethnicity, Identity, and Social Belonging, African Languages and Cultural Expression or Cultural Anthropology and African Studies.

Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be written in English.
- Submissions must be original and relevant to the conference theme.
- Abstracts should clearly describe the purpose, method, findings and relevance of the work.
- Full papers should normally be between 4 and 12 pages.
- Authors must complete registration after acceptance to confirm participation.
Peer Review Details
All submitted abstracts and full papers to the 16th International Conference on African Culture and Sociology undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by reviewers in African studies and related social sciences. Reviewers assess submissions on originality, theoretical grounding, methodological soundness, and relevance to African cultural and sociological discourse.

Best Paper Award
The Best Paper Award will be announced at the conference closing session. The winner will be rewarded with:
- Outstanding papers recognized with the Best Paper Award will receive an official certificate of excellence co-signed by the conference chairs, along with prominent feature placement in the published conference proceedings to maximize the visibility and scholarly impact of the winning research
- Best Paper Award recipients will be publicly honored at the conference’s closing session and will receive complimentary priority consideration for expedited peer review submission to a partner journal in African cultural and sociological studies
