The letter may include specific information such as the conference title, your full registered name, your institutional affiliation, and the event schedule — details often required by universities, employers, or funding bodies when seeking travel grants or leave approvals.
It is important to understand that the issuance of an official invitation letter by the conference organizing committee does not in any way guarantee the granting of a visa or entry permit to Canada. Visa decisions rest solely with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the relevant consular authorities. Delegates are strongly advised to begin their visa application process well in advance of the conference dates and to consult official Canadian immigration resources for guidance.
