Invitation Letter Support
Upon completing registration for the 9th International Conference on African Economics and Development, participants may formally request an official invitation letter from the conference secretariat. This letter confirms your acceptance as a delegate or presenter and provides Canadian immigration authorities with essential details about the event, including dates, venue, and the academic nature of your participation.
Invitation letters are issued exclusively to individuals who have finalized their registration and, where applicable, had their paper accepted through the review process. The document is prepared on official conference letterhead and typically includes your full name, institutional affiliation, paper title if relevant, and the conference schedule — all information that supports a well-documented visa application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
It is important to note that the issuance of an invitation letter by the conference organizing committee does not in any way guarantee the approval of a Canadian visa or entry permit. All visa decisions rest solely with the Government of Canada and its authorized immigration officers, and applicants are advised to initiate the visa process as early as possible, assembling all required documentation independently of the conference letter.
